Gold prices in Pakistan registered a significant decline on Monday, following a downward trend in the international bullion market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs5,300, bringing the new rate to Rs488,362.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs4,544 to settle at Rs418,691, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Saturday, gold prices had also recorded a slight decrease, with the per tola rate slipping by Rs400 to Rs493,662.
In the international market, gold prices declined by $53 per ounce, taking the global rate to $4,660 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market remained unchanged at Rs8,513 per tola.
