Gold prices in Pakistan moved sharply higher on Wednesday, tracking an upward trend in the global bullion market. In the domestic market, the price of gold per tola climbed by Rs14,800, reaching Rs529,162 during the day.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs12,689 to settle at Rs453,671, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
A day earlier, gold per tola had jumped by Rs24,000 to close at Rs514,362.
In the international market, gold prices gained $148, pushing the rate to $5,064 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium.
Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded an increase, rising by Rs109 to stand at Rs9,255 per tola in the local market.
