Several companies, including China’s Shanghai Jinsun New Energy Technology Co. Ltd, have shown strong interest in developing electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Sindh.
This was shared by Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh on Investment and Public-Private Partnership, Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, during a meeting with representatives of Chinese firms at his office on Wednesday.
He noted that the growing adoption of electric vehicles is driving a sharp rise in demand for charging facilities, adding that the government is currently engaging with multiple companies through public-private partnership arrangements.
“The meeting with the Chinese company was held for the establishment of electric vehicle charging centres in the province,” Qamar said.
He further emphasized that the Sindh government is committed to supporting businesses that bring advanced technologies into the region.
He said that the establishment of electric vehicle charging centres will not only meet the increasing demand but will also create employment opportunities.
